Stevia rebaudiana is a small shrub native to South America which is known for its sweet tasting leaves. The leaf extract contains steviosides which are very sweet tasting and non-caloric, but also have beneficial effects on health. It has also been shown in humans that steviosides reduce postprandial blood glucose in type 2 diabetics, indicating improved glucose metabolism.

Adult Dosage: Use Herbal Select Organic Stevia Powder daily in hot & cold drinks, cereals, sprinkled on fruits, food preparation and making preserves.

The recommended use as a flavour enhancer is 1/32 teaspoon (1/4 of 1/8 teaspoon) per cup of liquid.
