Bacillus lateropsporus is a soil based organism that has been tested at the University of california at Davis and has been shown to inhibit the growth of several common pathogenic bacteria. For example, it killed 99.8% of Salmnella in seven days. Salmonella is often found in raw chicken and raw eggs. Bacillus laterosporous kills 97% of E. coli in 21 days. E.coli is the most common cause of bladder and urinary tract infections. The most significant result was obtained with the yeast Candida albicans - a 96.4% reduction in the first seven days and a 99.8% reduction by 30 days.
Please note: Bacillus laterosporus that is NOT the BOD strain is not effective at controlling Candida albicans.
