Lavender – Fine, also known as true lavender or lavender officinale, is most appreciated for being the most fragrant of the lavenders. Lavender essential oil is the most well-known and the most frequently used of virtually any other essential oil. The Romans used it to perfume their clothes and their baths. The word ‘lavender’ comes from the Latin ‘lavare’ which means ‘to wash’.
Lavender fine essential oil is used in aromatherapy for its relaxant properties (sedative, calming, nervine) to help relieve nervousness, irritability and worry and to help with sleep.
